Seems like the government is trying to push equality by taking out a law that basically discriminates against gays and lesbians. If DOMA is indeed struck down, that'll be one step closer to social equality. Edit: DOMA stands for: Defense of Marriage Act, which basically says, "Only a man and a woman can get married."
