So Bungie said there would be no monthly subscription fees and then most of us instantly thought micro-transactions. I personally hate in-game purchases like that (unless its just new colours or something), the pay-to-win thing is so unfair and completely ruins the game.
So, as an alternative, how would you feel about in-game advertising? Imagine walking around a city/village or whatever and seeing a banner advertising Fairy Liquid! IMO this is a much better solution as its much safer than relying on people spending extra money on useless goods and Bungie can also monitor the most visited places within the game so as to place adverts there thus increasing views and in turn profits.

I don't want to be in the middle of the forest, searching for a sign of life, to then run up to a post with a flier on it saying "Buy Razer Controller!" This is set in a post-apocalpytic earth/universe, for there to even be advertisements make no sense at all, who would be advertising to a civilization on the verge of extinction? +It's visual pollution honestly. I'd rather go with no micro-transactions or anything at all but if there is anything, make it just customization related without hampering on the already in-game customizations options. Honestly, this idea that Bungie has to include something is annoying just because the fact that Bungie has never done that before. With Activision breathing down their necks I hope no micro-transactions or anything related occurs. Give me DLC and I'll purchase it; don't distract me from playing the game with buying micro transactions, because micro-transactions just show that the actual game itself isn't a finished product and if you want the finished product you have to buy in-game downloads that total to 30 dollars in 20 different transactions. Bungie hasn't done it before, I expect them to not do it again.
