Sorry in advance for finding a Russian-based article, but basically the US used its power as a G5 nation in the United Nations Security Council to strike down a vote to condemn a suicide bombing against the Syrian government (that also happened to hit the Russian embassy and a school).
The criticism was that the ultra-conservative Obama administration used double standards against the Syrian government instead of unconditional condemnation of all terrorist attacks.
I also would like to say that relations between the US and Russia are rapidly deteriorating.

This really doesn't alter our relationship with Russia at all, if you are implying we are close to war than you are very wrong. Not voting on a terrorist attack or w/e doesn't implicate an international crisis with Russia even if it involves its citizens. Especially since Russia began evacuating there citizens from Syria a few weeks ago. That is not our responsibility.
