Back when Crysis 2 released as its console debut it worked pretty well with it having to be scaled back quite a bit to DX9 and 10 and compromising higher res textures. Now comes Crysis 3 and its supped up and beefy performance requirements and its console counterparts. Let me give you a fair warning.
Unless you absolutely have no choice: DO NOT BUY this game on your 360 or PS3! This game simply cannot handle the upgrades at a playable level. The entire game is hindered by audio problems with it loosing conversations during cutscenes, delayed portions, and some that just sound too high tech for it to handle so it feels like it will blow your speakers.
On top of that the textures are lower res to where they look a bit washed out and it makes it difficult to see anything. But wait, that is not the worst part!
That FRAMERATE!!!! The FPS in this game on consoles is utter garbage, not to mention to field of view makes it worse. The game trows so much stuff in your small window, that you can barely see what the hell is going on, or make out that fuzzy image right in front of you.
It is brought to light in a driving section where the screen shakes so much and your constant turning makes the fps take a plunge rather than a dip. This game is wayyyy different on the PC just from a glimpse of a HD video.
It is obvious that it was not well optimized for this dying generation. All of these problems take away from a seemingly fantastic campaign that has a lot of heart!
Crying shame. If you can stand these kinds of faults, then by all means go for it! Otherwise; stick to the PC with this game.

Or just don't buy it at all. Crytek don't make fun games. They make proof of concept game engines and shaders. The end.
