So my Dad's mate just gave him a bunch of free Xbox games and Two Worlds was one of them.
I've heard it's awful but has anyone here played it?

FiRsT to comment within five years!
Don't play it! Its like opening a bunch of alien eggs! LOL!
Currently stuck on a quest because the game won't load the characters I need to talk to. It's been like that since the game came out. Not to mention the fact that the game was just downright awful even before that. It's good for a free laugh, but I wouldn't spend money on it.

Played it. If anything, do not ride a horse.
-
It's like playing a powerpoint presentation filled with "Methinks!" and "Forsooths!" The manual has spelling errors. Combat is twirling a sword around near bad guys, and horse travel is appalling. All set in a world that is such an Oblivion clone, it's ridiculous. I don't like it.

It was that bad, however the frame rate, character models, and voice acting will either make you laugh (at how ridiculous it is) or get really frustrated. It has a variety of enemies and weapons. The inventory system and stacking system is also nice. The magic system is also really good and I heard it was one of the best things in the sequel (two worlds II). Note: If you don't want to break your controller, then don't even try swimming. I don't care if you have to cross a 10 foot river, it will be faster if you go around. (This is of course until you decide to spend points in your swimming skill, which is a waste).

Great song by Disturbed, but that's aside the point. Two Worlds II has the most awkward title in the history of video games.
-
It didn't entertain me at all - but it entertained a friend of mine. If you're into RPG/MMO and deep complicated games like that, then you might like it haha
-
It's definitely not great or even good for that matter. I've played worse. But my grandmother also bought me Superman 64..

The voice acting and dialogue is so bad it's funny. Not worth your time, but not a complete abortion of a game, either.

it's not as bad as people make it out to be, it can be fun if you don't take it seriously, it's got a decent world map to explore too. it's just filled to the brim with glitches and the voices are intolerable
-
It's so awful that they actually make fun of it in the sequel. And the sequel is actually much, much better, by the way.
-
Sometimes free isn't cheap enough to rationalize use.
-
I've played it and its okay. Plus it has a 350 gamerscore achievement which I always found kind of strange. Oh yeah and the dialogue is hilarious.

I'm honestly stumped that the company that made the first Two Worlds, blew enough people to make another horrid sequel, Two Worlds 2, and yet, poor studios like Ensemble and other great folks who I can't remember at this time get shut down for making one game that didn't sell a whole lot.

The game is so terrible it's funny, that dialogue.
