The DMR shoud have been a pre-order bonus.
It is way too powerful to be a starter weapon normally. It should have been given away as a pre-order bonus from certain retailers rather than a weapon that anyone can use. They could have at least made the rank requirement higher in order to unlock it.

Cosmetics is one thing, but a something that actually effects the gameplay in a MP game like a weapon. Hell no. By having a weapon that only a small group of people will have is even worse. Why? Because they have a more powerful weapon nobody else has access to. That's not balanced at all.
