I'm wondering if Bungie will use this cloud format for their games? It would make more sense. If this has already been answered, let me know.
What if you purchase Destiny on the Xbox 360 or PS3 because you can't afford the new console during release, but would like to later transition your game saves and stats over to your more advanced hardware?
What if you are a PC gamer, like myself, and would be willing to buy it now on an Xbox 360 and would transition to the PC version when it was made available. Otherwise I'm not going to purchase it twice, and lose stats/saves. And by the time the PC version is out I'd feel behind on things anyways. Not cool.
Here's an example. I purchased Guild Wars 2, my first MMO ever, which was very well made. I eventually got bored but that's probably because I'm not interested in the traditional WoW MMO format. However, I started on a Mac laptop and eventually transitioned over to my PC. Just had to log in and download the client using my "Guild Wars" credentials.
Thanks for listening. It would be great to hear differing opinions.
