Traveler & Last City = SDF-1 & Macross City?

Something about the Traveler was ringing a bell. An ancient alien ship/artifact comes to Earth and a city springs up around it.... Then it hit me. Robotech. Could it be?

you mean macross right? because robotech is just the a spliced together version of 3 of the macross series
