That is a work of beauty. Come on, Activision. Don't make Bungie do yet another generic guy-with-gun-in-front-of-explosions. This cover is INSPIRING. It's like a great sci-fi novel.

The cover art had a cool super soldier with explosions on the front of it. I was 12(?) at the time. Didn't know shit about video games but it looked cool. That's what hooked me. The box art isn't for the fans. It isn't for us who have already immersed ourselves in the ARG, the ViDocs, who have poured ourselves over every little video and fondled every scrap of screenshots and gameplay footage. The box art is for all the people who don't do that. It's the hook that grabs them when they walk into a store knowing nothing about the game.
