The Constitution says it is the people's rights to bear arms. Therefore, the people have the right to bear nukes. Does the Constitution prohibit them? No, so we are entitled to them, because they are necessary to rebel against the government.

How is a nuclear weapon (a bomb) the same thing as a gun?
-
Go fourth Forge Fan. Be the hero we need you to be, release the american people from the tyranny of their government with brilliant nuclear fire and herald a new age of peace and nuclear fallout. And possible radiated political zombies.

Bear arms.

Them commies'll never take us alive!

So are you promoting terrorism against the goverment? That's a serious business sir.

Edited by MendicantBill : 2/20/2013 7:59:39 PMbasically, by the gun nut's own arguments, yeah. They claim that we shouldn't restrict the arms they should own, but taken literally, that means that people should be able to walk around with RPGs strapped to their backs and missile silos in their back yard. There is already a line drawn that is technically against their interpretation of the second ammendment, but for some reason they think that arms only means guns.

Someone please answer me this: why is it that we protect our congressmen, president, businesses and homes with guns but we protect our children in schools with a sign that reads "this is a gun free zone"?

We have the right yes........ But the producers of such weapons also have the right to deny service to anyone for any reason..... Just saying.
-
The Constitution doesn't say we have the right to have the arms of a bear; 'tis the Second Amendment of the Constitution. *trollface.jpg*

What OP says, "Look at me, I am making a witty, smart argument that no one will be able to defeat!" What OP really says, "HURRR DURR HURRRRRRRRR" Let this be known. Anyone who uses the nuclear bomb argument against the Second Amendment is not only falling under Slipper Slope fallacy, but also making them selves look incredibly ignorant and borderline idiotic. The Nuclear bomb argument is tantamount to putting your fingers in your ears and shouting, "LALALALALALA CAN'T HEAR YOU, LALALALALALA!" When you use it, you concede defeat to your adversary. You admit you cannot come up with a decent argument against their position so you resort to sensationalism. It makes you look like an ass, and no one will take you seriously. It's childish and downright disrespectful. You want to debate, then lets debate, don't spew bull shit.
-
I guess I'll just walk out of town and dig one up!
-
it is legal to own a nuclear device in the US, providing you get all the federal permits from the regulatory agencies...just as flamethrowers are legal because they are agricultural equipment under the control of the US state department's dept. of agriculture.

How many privately owned WMDs do you know of?

Edited by Forge Fan92: 2/20/2013 4:21:46 AMJust because our forefathers did not anticipate the creation of nuclear weapons does not mean we cannot have them. The Constitution is clear: we have the right to bear arms. It is not specific. Therefore, we can assume that we can bear any arms. Prove me wrong.
