I thought the new competitive playlist for Halo 4, Team Throwdown, was pretty good. My first like 6 games were on Lockout, so I can't really talk about the other maps. It's kinda annoying that they still haven't put the shotgun back on Lockout though, and now it's just a needler.
What do you think about TT?

Edited by SergeantFlood: 2/21/2013 2:03:54 AMIt's solid. It's the closet thing to classic Halo 343 has ever done, but they still have some work to do.
-
Its awesome!
-
It's pretty damn boring. The BR is terrible in this game, I'd rather they use DMR or LR starts instead so you can actually challenge people that have power weapons.
-
Better than any playlists in the matchmaking system. I like it.
-
Best playlist hands down. Now all we are missing is a ranking system.
-
It's the best playlist in the game. Too bad Halo in general got old for me so I don't enjoy it anymore for more than only a few games.
-
No, because I get Extraction BRs every time I try to play it. I find that gametype to be thoroughly unenjoyable.
-
Love it, the playlist actually feels like Halo.

Edited by A 3 Legged Goat: 2/20/2013 3:49:17 AMI've heard some have said it reminded them of Halo 2 with Sprint and AAs

I like playing people at my skill level. When I get spawn killed with a ridiculously good team, I get...angry.

Edited by Trollheim: 2/20/2013 4:56:59 AMIt is exceptional. When stores open tomorrow I'm probably going to get another 3 month card and some M$ points because I'm that impressed. Honestly, I think that 343 out Halo'd Bungie. It feels like Halo should. My only real issue is the lack of variety in Objective play. Extraction is pretty popular/fun, and CTF Simplex is played a decent amount, but there's only one map with KOTH and even that isn't the most competitive KOTH could get.

I like it.
-
It sounds bad - but decent for H4. Needs: sprint removed, DMR / Deluxe gametype removed, flinch removed and replaced with getting shot out of scope, ordnance removed, JIP removed, party restrictions added, and aim assist toned down.
-
I enjoy it when my team mates don't quit. Unfortunately I find that people quit really often in this particular playlist (perhaps I am unlucky).
-
With a team, yes. Without a team, no. Tryhards have flocked to it just like in Team Doubles.
-
I like it. Its by far the best playlist in Halo 4.
-
It's fun if you want a more classic-style experience. But true competitives might still dislike the underlying Halo 4 in it. The Sprint, Flinch, Strafe Speeds, Heavy Aim Assist etc. The AAs as drops almost feel like a pointless addon to it, and the Deluxe gametype isn't so great. The rest is actually really good.
-
It's the best thing Halo 4 has to offer...but that doesn't say much.
-
i love it.

Not at all!
