Customization?
So weapon, character, and vehicle customization but to what extent? I love the Idea but how far will they go with it?

Say you find a piece of armour, you can equip it there and then and customize it when you get back to the 'hub city' and change colours, add attachments and upgrades. Ya' get me? The same goes for weapons, you find a weapon and can add attachments and upgrade it how you want it. As for vehicles, you could purchase a vehicle from the 'hub city' area or find a vehicle (or however you would come across a vehicle) and be able to change some of it's functions like speed, shielding etc. And you can purchase parts from an in game store (using in-game money) for certain parts and be able to uncover new parts on the other planets and stuff like that.

Would be cool with vehicles/armor/weapons if they came blank, and you had a bunch of geometric shapes that you could arrange into designs and color freely. Although whenever I say that, my first thought is a legion of genital-themed decals.

I want EVE online style avatar customization with endless aesthetic choices.

3 RepliesYou may say I'm a dreamer... but I would love to see a lot of customization. Faction specific stuff like armor, skins, talents, weapons, tattoos? Types of armor or balancing energy between shields and equipment. Crafting would be phenomenal but not essential. Even something like face customization and removable helmets (when not in combat). My dreams will live on.

as you see in the vidoc on the iphone the guy had showed his toon with all the item slots, head shoulder weapon etc...im sure that the customization will be wide and far :)

I wouldn't mind creating my character like seeing there faces, and designing them. But i'm sure that there going to have default everything and character creation will effect armour peices, so yeah probably something similar to halo customization and borderlands.

Probably to about the same extent as recent Halo games with armour, and along the same lines as Borderlands / Endless Space with weapons / vehicles. Just a guess.
