Someone please explain this to me. Armor lock is what made Halo what it was at large at small. It garnered more people into Halo than any other aspect of the game. This is simply an undeniable fact.
But everyone hates Halo Reach. How could this possibly be? If everyone loves armor lock then why do they all hate Reach too. Someone, please, fill in the leap of logic here.

Edited by Hoggs Bison: 2/18/2013 4:30:34 PMThe problem is everything other than Armor Lock. Let's say I'm playing multiplayer and I want to get my AL on. I hit (A), but all that does is jump. I hit [R] and [L] and I'm shooting and throwing grenades. There's literally only one button devoted to AL, and even then, people can choose not to use it. Introducing Armor Lock to fans was a great idea, but Bungie completely failed on the execution by letting people do anything other than use it. The hardcore fans love AL, but Reach threw in a bunch of gimmicks, like moving and reloading, that really threw everything off-balance. At least in the other Halo games, we weren't even able to taste the sweet nectar of Armor Lock.
