Account Links: 101; Dominate Your World

I'll try and answer all your questions about account linking here. If you can, please provide the brower your using, and the accounts your trying to link/swap. Example: "I'm using IE9. I have two bungie.net accounts, one with the XBL gamer tag I always use, and the other with an inactive XBL gamer tag. I want to use my active gamer tag on the bungie.net account that has my inactive gamer account. What can I do to fix this?" Solution: • If you don't already have them, create a Facebook account and a Google+ account. Or a PSN account, and a Facebook account. Either way you'll need two other linkable accounts. I'll assume you have a Facebook account and a Google+ account. • Log in to bungie.net with your active XBL account. • Go to your Settings and under the "Accounts Links" tab, link your Facebook account to this bungie.net account. • After you linked that account, log out, and log in with the Facebook account. • Return to the "Accounts Links" tab and unlink your active XBL account. • Log in to bungie.net with the your inactive XBL account. • Return to the Settings and under the "Accounts Links" tab, link your Google+ account to your bungie.net account. • After you linked that account, log out, and log in with the Google+ account. • Return to the "Accounts Links" tab and unlink your inactive XBL account. • Link your active XBL account. At this point your active XBL account will be linked to the bungie.net account you want to use for Destiny. Also I’d recommend doing some more account swapping to get your Facebook and Google+ accounts linked to your bungie.net account. To do this, continue on with the steps. • After you linked that account, log out, and log in with the Facebook account. • Return to the "Accounts Links" tab and link your inactive XBL account. • log out, and log in with the inactive XBL account. • Return to the "Accounts Links" tab and unlink your Facebook account. • log out, and log in with the active XBL account. • Return to the "Accounts Links" tab and link your Facebook account. At this point your active XBL account will be linked with your Facebook and Google+ accounts. If this hasn’t worked for you, if it seems confusing, or if you have questions about linking accounts, please ask and I or some member of the community will do their best to answer. Hope this helps!

  • I'm also trying to work this out, this linking, unlinking but needing accounts linked via other methods just to remove a link is a very strange way of doing this. I cant believe they think this is user friendly.

  • Bungie.net randomly assigned me a Gamertag. I'm unable to unlink it because one must sign in to XBL to unlink, & I can't sign in to XBL to confirm the unlink because I don't know the Login or Password as it was never my Gamertag.

    • Hello, I recently tried linking my psn to my bungie.net account and it told me the account was already in use. I speculated this had something to do with my xbox account being linked as well, so I unlinked that account and tried linking the psn. The psn link still did not work and when I tried to re-link my xbox account it also said it was already in use. I'm currently signing in on a google account. I am using IE9 if this is of any use to you.

      • Personally i wouldn't want everything linked to a single account.

      • Hi, sorry I'm totally confused. I accidentally created a new account instead of logging into my old Bungie.net account and linked my Google and Facebook accounts. I realised my error and logged in with my old bungie.net account (this one). I managed to unlink my Facebook profile and attached it to this account but I'm unable to unlink my Google account as it's the last account linked to the new profile I no longer want or need.
