God, I hate this. It's probably age or something but I am completely torn between the standard (or statistic) every gamer is placed in that makes them < and the transcendence of said standard which actually disconnects you from a good portion of people you have common interests with. Many people call this the peterpan effect but damn this sucks.
For instance, the word dude hurts my eyes and sounds like scrambled noise in my ears. I find myself dissident to most gamers. I talk about the past a lot. Anyone see that tween episode of southpark where stan hears shit all the time. Yeah that's how I feel now.

Nothing wrong with saying dude, man. But if you feel yourself becoming less immature and ignorant, and more rational and intellectual, well, I say embrace it. But being an intelligent and conscious human being doesn't mean you can't sport verbal affectations, or have fun, dude.
