I have fond memories of staying up late watching Inuyasha(I think that's how you spell it) and courage the cowardly dog(not an anime but still love it) on cartoon network. Those shows made me happy. I remember first discovering Inuyasha, dark, creepy, love story, it intrigued me.
What yours? Fond memories of it?

Edited by Hylebos: 2/19/2013 3:54:00 AMPokemon would definitely be my first, though the first show that really got me into Anime was Hikaru No Go!
-
Dragonballz of course.
-
DBZ, then rave master. After all this time though my favorite is still .hack roots.
-
The anime movie Green Legend Ran. My friend got it for her 13th or 14th birthday and we went and watched it in her basement. Good times.
-
My first was Higurashi
-
I remember watching Naruto when it first came on and thinking "This is -blam!-ing stupid as hell!"
-
My first film was Laputa: castle in the sky. But I remember watching Death note every night for about a month as my first one

Edited by A 3 Legged Goat: 2/18/2013 7:39:01 PMPokemon and then Fullmetal Alchemist. There were anime movies in between though like Kiki's Delivery Service.

I remember watching DBZ, Naruto, Pokemon, and Yu-GI-Oh when I was little, so those I suppose. Although I didn't really get into the story until I was 11 or so.
-
This was my 1st anime.
-
Mine was Yosuga no Sora before I knew what anime was.. its story left a good impression. Then I steered away from that area of anime.
-
DBZ and Naruto were my favorites growing up.
-
I can't remember the first anime I watched but the first I owned on dvd was Hellsing and I'm proud of it
-
DBZ and DBGT are the only things I've ever watched that would be considered true anime.
-
Watching Dragon Ball Z on Cheese TV before i went to school.

Edited by G7kherc: 2/18/2013 1:10:55 PMMy first one was Naruto...it is really good and then kinda became shit when shippuden released but then became good and is now better than old Naruto (part 1). It just needs to be funny as number 1 and stop with the lame jokes! I watched DBZ and One Piece and more... But I have fond memories of watching Naruto on TV. Back when the UK showed some anime and did't mind a bit of blood.....DAMN YOU EU!

I'm not sure which one I saw first, but I enjoyed watching Naruto, DBZ, and a little bit of Inuyasha and Fullmetal Alchemist. Right now, I'm catching up to where I last watched FMA.
-
My first anime was Akira. I was flicking through the channels when I was 11 (so in '93) and turned on to the bit where Kaneda saves Kaori from almost certain clown -blam!-. I was instanly hooked on the film and it led me to enjoying anime ever since.
-
Dragon Ball Z but if that doesn't count then Naruto. Awesome experiences.
-
Watching this with my dad when I was a lil kid. Bricks were shat.
-
I dunno, zoids, pokemon, or yugioh.

Cardcaptor Sakura. I think I was around...7 or 8? Used to record it on VHS every week to watch after school.

The first animes I watched were Starblazers and Starzinger when I was around 5 or 6 I guess. Kept on watching them and discovered the rest of the anime spectrum in my later pre-teen years. I suppose my first 'serious' anime was Evangelion when I was about twelve. I remember being an angsty kid watching an angsty show and finding it so goddamn profound. I think that was around the summer of my Final Fantasy 7 obsession at its peak. Good times.

What do you mean? First anime I saw? First anime I saw knowing what exactly anime was? Or first anime I saw when I started taking it seriously as a hobby?
-
Akira. Blew me away and is still one of my favourite films ever.
