Halo Years -> Darkness -> Darkness (With Beta, less members around) -> Pre-Game return of the Light (No Site Beta) -> The Light has returned (Destiny is Released.)
So that's just a little idea of what it's been like for the last few years (And the next few months).
Think back to each phase, remember what it was like. The Darkness is almost over, lets take a moment to remember what it was like before this site switches over to full blown Destiny mode.
Lets remember members who are not here anymore. Lets remember the trolls, Halo 4 threads, and other trends. Lets remember what this place used to be, as we look to the feature.

A lot of us seem to have matured along with it. Including myself.

Halo 2 explosion > OK, this modding is getting ridiculous > Golden Age I (Activity and competitiveness at it's peak) > Halo 3 build up (with sub-periods of activity explosion during promo releases) > Golden Age II (Community driven events hit a peak) > MLG get's a bit too big for it's britches, and we're all a little peeved > ODST? Criticized, but largely underrated (Begin in the great decline of user activity, fractures to small groups and chapters) > No way, they are releasing Reach! > Reach = unusual, but not bad > Decline of official news updates, darkness begins > The Great Schism (343 coalesces and takes over Halo) > Darkness at peak, active user count drops, but signal rises far above noise > Destiny announcement That's the community vibe ever since 2005

For us, the Storm has passed. But let us never forget those that traveled into the Howling Dark, never to return. This hillside will remain barren. A monument to heroes fallen.

I really like how this community progresses, seems to me we're actually evolving sometimes.

Lets remember the previous layout.

SECONDCLASS FUCK YEAH

Let us remember the past not dwell there. The future is about to get so much brighter. And I doubt that in a few hours, most past details will fade into the dim. And sadly you left out a phase. Like all things, change is the only thing that remains the same. And there will be a phase when the light will dim again. But hopefully before that happens, i will have given up gaming for more elderly activites. I kind of like Bingo.

My favorite moment of 'the darkness' was participating in the first ride along.
The Darkness is almost over, lets take a moment to remember what it was like before this site switches over to full blown Destiny mode.
It was boring, cold & dark as hell. My first experience in the dark. Thank goodness the light will warm our..uhh, faces in the morning.
You know how some say, 'it was a pleasure?' It wasn't. - Mike from Breaking Bad
Rest in peace John Cena.
