New Spartan Ops Episodes
Has anyone else checked out the new SpartOps episodes yet? I just played through episode 6 and 7 last night, and I have to say that 343 has really delivered this time. The first set of 5 episodes got repetitive really quickly, in that you were always fighting on the same maps over and over. Episode 6 alone introduces 4 completely new campaign maps, along with visiting an existing multiplayer map. The cave map in the 5th mission was especially awesome! Episode 7 introduced environments in Infinity itself, which was pretty cool.
I still feel that the tie between your player and the CG story is really loose, and often very hard to follow, which is too bad. Ultimately though, the missions are fun to play through, and the opening to the first mission of episode 6 was pretty damn awesome. So yeah, thoughts?

3 RepliesThe sixth episode was by far my favorite, it was really the only one that had anything to do with the actual storyline of the episodes(if episode 6 is the one where you go back on board the Infinity to defend it). The rest were just sending you on random missions to save this science team, help these marines, etc. If they want to make the rest of the episodes as interesting they need to put more effort into making the missions actually connect to the story rather than just, run here push this button, now run back to the other end of the map and push this button.
