Microsoft has blown it with the Xbox, and now it's at risk of Apple totally destroying the business, Nat Brown, the founder of the original Xbox project, recently wrote on his blog.
"Apple, if it chooses to do so, will simply kill Playstation, Wii-U and xBox by introducing an open 30%-cut app/game ecosystem for Apple-TV," Brown writes. [/quote]
What do you think? Apple has dabbled in the possibility of entering the video game market before (if you recall, they even thought about acquiring Bungie back in the day) and there is no denying that the Xbox user experience definitely isn't as good as it could be.
What would you think of an Apple console-like device (or as this guy alludes to, a digital distribution network)? We've seen a lot of companies start thinking about moving into gaming (Steambox, Ouya) where it has generally been a duopoly for gamers between Microsoft/Sony.

I don't see it happening. The reason they sell "games" on ios is because you already have the phone. People aren't going to go out and buy an apple device to play ios games only. Also, as far as I recall, with bungie - They went to apple and offered them the rights, and they turned them down. Saying it didn't look like it was going anywhere.
