DBZ or DBZ Kai
If I ever go on a DBZ clip now, there's always a small argument on DBZ vs DBZ Kai.
So I thought "screw it" and now I'm making this thread.
I much prefer DBZ Kai. The Voice Acting is much better, the music is better, and no BS filler, "I will fight you when I'm done screaming for 20 minutes"
Just look at the x20 kaioken kamehameha scene. [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPZr3vtP6ww]The DBZ Kai scene[/url] is far superior. Sean is much more enthusiastic in this scene, the music fits perfectly and the kamehameha is actually properly pronounced

It depends, the voice acting is better in Kai, and it cut out pointless filler, but the original DBZ soundtrack if god damn awesome.

Fatman is right. BUT the nicktoons edited dbz kai sucks worse than dbgt. The uncut is amazing. The dialogue is better and more true to the manga, the voice actors are almost all the same except they're much better at voice acting now. They cut out all the pointless screaming and filler and just stay with the story, plot and battles. MUCH better. It took 70-80ish episodes to get to the cell saga in kai while dbz took 180 episodes. Thats alot of pointless screaming. The ONLY thing and the one ONLY thing Id change about kai is the music and gohan's voice actor. I preffered bruce falcouners music because of tracks like [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dq8XVqvu4SA]this[/url],[url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIXKJco85Pc]this[/url] and especially [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpv5EGg18DM]this[/url]. I like the Dragonball universe but I really don't like the execution of DBZ. Kai would be better but the music just ruins it for me. I honestly really like GT though. -blam!- the police.

Kai is cuts out some of the hits during the fights and is way too sensitive. The Original is better for the actual fights.

2 RepliesI don't care what they "improve" on anything. When I want to watch a series, especially one that I love so much like DBZ, I want the same experience I had when I first watched it. You can remove the filler and the screaming all you want, but when you give Vegeta pants that look like they made them in Paint, make the blood clear so it looks like sweat (or considering most of the blood is from the mouth, it looks like they can't stop drooling. Well... I guess they are monkies) and make Mr. Popo BLUE... we have a problem. I don't care if it was just the 4kids one, it still happened. What some might consider better, I consider change. And I don't want to change what I loved so much growing up.

I would recommend anyone who would like to enjoy the series, and has a life, opt for Kai. Edit: You will have to watch Z for the final sega, with Buu. Although I personally felt the point at which they ended Kai was the best ending point for the series. Edit2: I also only watched it due to procastination, not real enjoyment. It wasn't particularly impressive, and there is far better anime out there.

Kai is better quality I'll give you that but I still prefer DBZ. I just love the falconer music its what made DBZ awesome for me. Especially when Vegeta goes ss.

5 RepliesAnybody who knows anything knows that Kai is better to watch. In whole, the best seasons of DBZ to watch would be the Namek ones, where they fight there against the Ginyu squad and Freiza. Dragonball GT is bad as hell. Goku has an annoying niece or whatever. I know everything there is to know about Dragonball Z.

1 ReplyI liked the original scene better. In the Kai scene he didn't need to say he's going Kaioken because everyone knows that. I also liked the music in the original better. The music in Kai sounds almost cheerful during an intense scene like that.
