How important is a title system for YOU, in the next iteration of bungie.net? First off, we know that titles are returning in some form at the conclusion of this beta:

So, where’s my Title?
It’s all about you, isn’t it? Please remember that this is a test. The public beta for Bungie.net is a chance for us to work out the kinks and collect some feedback on how we can make things better. That means we’re not finished rolling out all the bells and whistles. In time, we'll be celebrating and decorating the long-standing members of our community. Your legacy will be honored. For now, you are anonymous crash test dummies; so rev those engines and aim for the wall.

In the previous title system from 2007 - 2013, we know that titles are based on a variety of sorts. While we don't have the exact measurements (it's all a secret!) we do know many theories and speculations from Duardo's title bar thread.
The previous formula was based on:
-Daily Activity over longer periods of time
-Joining/Participating in Private Groups
-In-game participation to a degree
-Linking you Xbox Live Gamertag to Bungie.net profile
-Account Age
-Ban/Warning history
-Other hidden factors we don't know about
But now, we have all these new additions to bungie.next that may help in assigning a new title.
-Likes/Dislikes
-Muting others/Getting muted
-Number of Followers (or number of followers to groups that you have created?)
-Private Group/Public Forum Participation
-MUCH MORE DIFFICULT to become "banned"
-New ways to connect to your Bungie.net profile
-More hidden factors we won't ever know about
The point is, whatever the system is, I feel that these new elements will play a key role in the new system. I highly doubt that it will be very similar to the previous system. We all say how radically different this current version of bungie.net is to the previous one. I expect the titles to work the same way.
How many "tiers" of titles should there be?
-Bungie Employee
-Forum Ninja

-Member (Member)
-Level above member (Heroic Member)
-Level above that (Legendary Member)
-Level above that...(Mythic Member)
-EVEN MORE ABOVE THAT (Mythic Member+++)
One argument I saw quite a bit was that members who have been here 4/5 years are in the same category of those who have been here 8/9/10+ years. Should there be an extension for those long standing members?
THE BOTTOM LINE/QUESTIONS TO ADDRESS
-How important are titles to you in your bungie.net experience?
-What changes would you like to see made to titles?
-What did you like about the previous system?
-Since it's much more difficult to become banned, should title requirements be more strict on time/activity?
-Should there be a title system at all/or an option to "opt out" of the title system? (just for you Recon)
Now we discuss titles and what changes to expect. The floor is yours community!
Likes/Dislikes.
Back in the old layout you had trolls that used a bunch of alts to report threads. So because of that getting a thread disliked shouldn't hinder me getting a title. Also for the likes you can have someone with dozens of alts liking their main accounts threads. So this is a bad idea for a form title.
-Muting others.
If someone is doing something annoying like spamming post with the max characters. If I mute them that shouldn't hinder me getting a title.
-Number of Followers.
I can be the most active person on the form and still not have as many followers as a person. Who post no where as much as me. Also that can be abused. You can have someone with dozens of alts following their main account.
-Private Group/Public Forum Participation.
Private groups participation shouldn't have anything to do with titles. Hence the name "private." That can be abused as well. I can create a group and have as many alts are needed to keep the group from getting deleted. Then I can use my main account to mass spam it. The only forums that should matter for titles are public.
-MUCH MORE DIFFICULT to become "banned"
-Posting pr0nz links. -Insulting every member on the site. -Mass spamming of post with the character limits.
