Talking about the image the QR code was collected from. Using the FFT and mask method we only really see the center part of the image. And today I don't even think they got the full thing (I thought I read that someone had to do a bit of brute forcing to get the last part of the QR code). Just saying we never activated enough frequencies to view the outside corners of that image not that it wasn't clear enough. But regardless I wouldn't really expect them to hide anything out that far - it was just a thought.
