So this means that the picture can become "less clear" again with less web activity?

Yes, but the running theory right now is that it's irrelevant as long as all the images are captured they can be layered to achieve the same effect.

Absolutely, in fact, I just compared my picture with one from an hour earlier and it has become less clear after the "surge".
