Check out the anime Sword Art Online. That's what it'll be.

Well, I've come back from about 2600... not much has changed.

Virtual reality...assuming our eyes could take that kind of light. If we tried anything like that now we'd go blind very quickly.

I think people will still be playing video games. Something else will take it's place. It's the same reason kids don't play ball in a cup or roll hoops anymore.

Pretty much like the movie, Gamer.

Neural implants and modified consciousness will be the user interface, IMO.

hey maybe by then we won't need video games to interact with aliens or live out "unrealistic" fantasies...

Obese 30-year-olds sitting in their mothers' basements for days on end. Wait a second...

Video games won't exist anymore because they'll be declared pointless and stupid.

VR chambers like in Minority Report, only they are in your home. It will double as a casket for those who can't leave imaginationland.

Everything happens in cycles, I'd guess that in 100-200 years we will have seen a decline in the use of artificial stimuli and see an increase of social interactive activities. People will be more into real stimuli than an artifical stimuli.

Virtual reality. But with Pong!

About the same. PC gamers thinking they are the best because of graphics. Some form of Xbox Live thinking they are the best because of 1 month DLC exclusive but they have to pay yearly. Some form of Nintendo thinking they are the best because of innovations that are only fun for about 5 minutes. And Some form of Sony that gets hacked one time and everyone else brings it up until someone else gets hacked.

Maybe virtual reality and more open world, but it's hard to say.

Most likely dead and long gone.

Perhaps virtual reality.

I don't know.

I see games that use virtual reality helmets that you put on and when you look around you actually see the world in the game and some kind of vest or something with it that will simulate damage.
