Westboro leader quits and apologizes for church's activities

  • So Megan Phelps-Roper quit? This isn't surprising. In the Louis Theroux documentary I thought it was pretty obvious that she wasn't entirely convinced by what she was doing. Quitting doesn't absolve her of all the horrid things she's done and advocated, but at least she has a chance to make up for it. She's not a leader of the WBC though...... she's high up but that crazy old guy is the leader. Fun fact; the crazy leader, Fred Phelps, was a prominent lawyer in the 80s who fought for race equality and for black people being subjected to racial discrimination. He won several awards for his work.
