So much god damned religion topics. TL;DR Nobody can prove or disprove your god
-
I don't see how "you can't disprove that God exists" is a valid argument to make. We use reason to understand the world around us; if something defies that reason, it doesn't exist. Furthermore, the "gap theory" doesn't hold water either. It's true: science has no reasonable answer as to the existence of, well, existence. But the lack of an answer does not itself automatically validate an alternative answer. If the alternative fails the same tests to which we put every explanation, that alternative is wrong despite the fact that a credible answer has yet to surface. The closest we can come to accepting the existence of something that can't be understood through reason is to say that the things we believe are true in their consequences. Regardless of whether or not God exists, the money people raise in his name for charity work still helps; regardless of whether or not God exists, the people killed in his name are still dead.

People need to learn this. As well as that you need to let everyone believe their own thing. It's just as ok to believe in a God as it is ok to not to believe in one.

Edited by RighteousTyrant: 2/7/2013 7:12:17 PMLike all phases, this one will eventually end. For example, does anyone here remember when threads in the Halo 3 forum had post-count goals in the titles? That was dumb and annoying and without any action by the ninjas or webteam (that I'm aware of at least) it ended.

The old Flood would have been like 5 times better place if religion and politics discussions had not been banned.

We'll get over it eventually. And there are other topics, and you can make your own, so let the people debate how they choose.

STOP CRITICIZING WHAT I UNQUESTIONINGLY BELIEVE

The novelty will wear off soon enough

Yeah! They should take out gaming topics too! There are so many damn topics of it! Nobody can prove or disprove Call of Duty is better than Halo and vice versa. It isn't the topics op it is the community.
