...And boarding the Chrome vessel.
I used Chrome a little earlier today and really liked the layout, it's default layout is basically the same as the way I set up Firefox and it looks slicker and more streamlined than Firefox. Plus its got all of google's main services front and center, like Gmail, Google Drive and Youtube.
Also its address bar (or Omnibar as they call it) is a lot easier to configure. I use the Firefox address bar also as a search bar and every now and then a program will alter the default search and change it from Google to some other -blam!-ry and the only way to change it is to go in Firefox's depths (which I always forget how to get to and have to google it just to find it.) But in Chrome it seems that you can just adjust the search settings in a simple drop-down menu.
So which do you guys prefer, and why do you prefer it; let me know your pros and cons. Do you use Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, something else?

I am an avid fan of Internet Explorer. Great browser. Would recommend to anyone.
-
I use Chrome for everything other than B.next because for some reason it's slow on Chrome.
-
I await your arrival to the Chrome Master Race :)
-
I don't have any preferences since I only use Chrome. The only thing I'd fault it for is that the Shockwave player crashes way too much.
-
I used IE for years then switched over to Firefox and when Chrome was released I tried it and found that customizing it similar to the way I had Firefox wasn't possible at the time and ever since then I never touched it again.

btw current FF release version is 18.0.1. so you have older than that, you should update. Firefox->tools->about->check for updates.

so stop getting viruses/malware if your settings keep getting unauthorized changes and get some AV and a firewall? get Avast! paid, Spybot Search and Destroy V1.6.2, MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, and a seperate firewall. also, make sure you stay current on firefox versions to patch exploits.

I forgot to add that you have the ability to sync all your preferences to any computer using your google account, which is really nice if you have multiple computers.
-
I personally think Firefox is easier to use, so I don't know which one is truly better.

Yeah, don't. Anyhow, I use Firefox's Nightly build usually. I prefer Firefox due to all the security add ons you can get for it as well. NoScript, RequestPolicy, Better Privacy, RefControl, ect.

But Google sells your info and blah blah blah.

Used to use Internet Explorer because I didn't see a reason to switch. I downloaded Firefox after my (very nerdy and computer savvy, yet pretty cool) brother recommended it to me. I like it a lot so far. I haven't had a problem yet, but I haven't been using it long either.

Enjoy your botnet.

I have always preferred Firefox, even after trying Chrome. It's just what I'm used to. To each his own I guess.

Firefox is more customisable, but Chrome is just faster, cleaner and easier to manage, what with Flash player built right into it and updating automatically.
