I've only ever played LoL, though I think I will try Dota at some point. I dunno, Dota's heroes seem more unimaginative than League's Champions, it makes it difficult to decide who I would start playing with. While many of you see the inabillity to play as every champion in League as a downside, it definitely helps out beginners by restricting the firehose of information somewhat.
