So I have a very small tingling that the terrain used in this concept image has a very small chance of being an actual render from a very early version of the game.
It's a big stretch but never-the-less, I thought I'd share my thoughts and see if anyone has the skill to blow this theory out the water.
Here's the image in question.
And for those who are wondering, the star maps around Bungie.net were found to correlate to the topography of a small island in the phillapenes. See here and here.

I tried to find the location in Google earth, but the terrain is too stylized and heightened in that concept art to match it to any 1 spot.

[insert puerto rican joke] I like that .gif, it really makes the similarities stand out. Unfortunately the mountains in that image are really the only identifying feature and I think the best chance for matching them up would be... Err... Those height maps that use varying colors? Alternatively it's another Bungie ARG and someone has to fly up to their secret headquarters tucked away near those mountains. Perhaps only then will they reveal their game.

So....you want to see if the topography for that place in the Philippines matches with the first image?
So I have a very small tingling.
There's nothing you can do about that OP.
