Why would anyone sacrifice themselves to save their girlfriend?
They will just shrug it off eventually and find someone else and you would be dead. Sad truth of life.

Because then Audrey Hepburn would send me back to watch her like Richard Dreyfuss in [i]Always[/i] and they can make a great drama movie out of it. Also, maybe because you love her and would rather die and let her move on than see her die and have to move on yourself. Y'know, that stuff.

To some degree I feel like I have to sacrifice a lot of 'me' just to do right for my wife and kids. so yeah, I would stop a truck with my face to give them a chance at life.
