Take Ubisoft for example. They had thousands of people working on AC3, and look at the piece of trash that it turned out to be. Now take FTL: Faster Than Light. They had 2 people working on it and it's better than AC3. I paid $50 for AC3 and played for 25 hours, and I paid $5 for FTL and played 50 hours.

Haha Slap My Nuts!! I know where your username is from. That parody video on youtube. it's hilarious. India game developers are cooler now in my opinion, corporations are getting too big for my taste, more about the $$$$ then game quality!! Only in America though. Pokemon for example is still an awesome franchise. Did you guys play the Xbox Arcade Scott Pilgrim game? Awesome india game

The overall quality of gamers is going down as more and more people start playing games. Eventually the developers have to dumb down games so the dumb people will buy and play them.
-
because they have to cater to conventions to make money. unfortunately for us, the standards they use end up making every game suck, or a carbon copy of another game.
-
$$$ and deadlines.
-
Money, because they need to pay publishers and parent corporations combined with this fun thing called Nostalgia, which has a nasty habit of stabbing you in the back.
-
Because 343.

Money.

Why do big Movie Studies manage to create crap movies? Because they sell. Videogames have become rather mainstream if you haven't noticed, and it isn't reasonable to expect everyone to release quality games for the sake of having quality games when there are enough people willing to buy watered down products.

Its not that they suck its just that people start having crazy expectations for the newer games. Usually people will love the first game since they don't expect much out of it.

You're stupid.
-
Standards have dropped. Devs can put little effort into something and still get praised for it.
