(Updated Jan 22nd - v1.5)
Requires Stylish, you can get that here: Firefox | Chrome

Special thanks to NoWise for 'shopping the original image of a black theme as I used it for reference and picked some colours from it. His post with the images can be found here.
Right, so first thing is an apology for adding another dark theme script into the mix, as I know there's a few out there already. Truth be told, I've just spent too long on this to not post it, so I'm putting it out there as an alternative, at least. Also a little apology to the webteam as I feel like I'm sort of disrespecting their work; I'm not, I love the new site format and design, I'd just like to offer everyone an alternative colour scheme in reponse to feedback.
The function of this script is to make the site look nice and dark so that it's a bit easier on the eyes. This is accomplished through an add-on for Firefox and Chrome called Stylish, which allows you to load custom stylesheets to change certain elements of a webpage. The theme I've created modifies many aspects of Bungie.net, affecting the whole site in order to minimise the amount of large white space, and instead replace it with something nice and dark. This includes re-coloured backgrounds, re-coloured text, and custom replaced images.
Feedback of all kinds is great and completely appreciated, whether it's constructive criticism, a bug report, a suggestion for a change, or a simple "-blam!- you this sux". If you spot any bugs, please let me know, preferably including your browser type and version. It helps a lot.
Once again, here's the download link.
Have fun doodz

Couple of changes you may want to make to get it to work with these changes. You'll want to remove .Community .header_body { background: -moz-linear-gradient(center top , #1b1b1b 0%, #141414 100%) repeat scroll 0 0 transparent ! important; background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(#1b1b1b), to(#141414)) repeat scroll 0 0 transparent ! important; } in order for the forum banners to show up. You'll also want to remove border-left: 1px solid #212121 !important; from .column.main near the top. I'd also suggest adding .muted {display: none ! important;} .header_body_page h1 a {display: none ! important;} .header_body_page h1 a:hover {display: none ! important;} body.loaded footer {display: none ! important;} .container_out {border: none ! important;} .header_body_page {height: 0px ! important;} In order to get rid of that stuff near the top and bottom as well as hidden posts. And adding .forumPost .header_post {border-left: none ! important;} .forumPost .header_post {background: -moz-linear-gradient(left, #141414 19%, #2d2d2d 100%) !important;} to fix the thread titles section.

You need to update this shit.
-
Time for an update?
-
Can we get an update to the script so that it works with whatever update Bungie patched in today?
-
Can we get an update for this script so it works on the site after the recent update that added banners?
-
This script interferes with colors on other pages such as Facebook; is there a fix for that issue?
-
Nice addition. Glad I could tweak the settings to my liking prior to updating.
-
Very cool. Weird seeing my text in orange again. Not sure how I feel about it.
-
Yes! bungie.net is back to being dark and mysterious just the way I like it.
-
Is there a way to alter any of the Alpha levels for the script? Just curious.
-

Hello Theme Author
-
The latest update is now available featuring an option to restore an old feature that I personally think should make an official return: the gold and salmon staff and ninja text colours! Yeah, I thought this would be a cool little thing to add, but of course you can disable it when installing/updating the script if it's not your kinda thing. As it is a new feature there's always a chance that it won't be fully functional, so please let me know if you notice any problems.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

Love it! :D
-
Ahh just downloaded and installed :D my eyes aren't burning now.

I love you

I'm having trouble installing stylish onto chrome
-
I love it! This is great! One suggestion: When you click the arrow that shows which post a reply was made to (in a thread of replies), it turns the original post white and makes it a bit hard to read. I don't know if that's possible to change but it would be nice.

FINALLY! THANK YOU OP I LOVE YOU! #MarryMe
-
Thank you for this script Zoid, it's made viewing Bungie.net so much easier on my eyes. Also I added to my post_body the CSS "font-size: 13px !important;" which makes the text slightly larger and easier to read.
-
Thank you so much! Now this site feels much more familiar and natural.
-
Thank you very much for this new color scheme. As someone with vision problems, the old scheme was very hard on my eyes.
