Communism is a structure of the class system (Lower, middle, and upper) that places everyone at the center of the classes. Under true communism, through what I gathered from it is that, there are no leaders of government in the way that they would be no better than a farmer or an actor, they would be able to decide things but those things would only be what the society as a whole really wanted.
Of course this is a unrealistic view of humans and there want for power and money, giving anyone power over a communist government is therefore impossible because when one person holds power it corrupts, that is why communism has failed in our world so far. If communism were pure as its basic ideas say, without the outside influence of dictators and people who want power, then communism would have many things to offer societies.
Some of the good things that communism could offer a society in modern culture would be
-An economy based solely on democracy, everyone decides together what to plant and sell
-No central leader to decide without the opinions of everyone
-No discrimination because of money or class
-No business leaders that get greedy and make an economy fail in their wake
-No unnecessary spending or a wasting of excess money
These are some reasons why Communism is good but there is a bad side to communism as well, as well as some reasons that communism has largely been ridiculed in the past
-Many Communist governments failed
-Crazy people usually lead revolutions to communism
-Communist economies never flourished like free markets did
Common misconceptions... THESE ARE NOT TRUE STATEMENTS
-It is the enemy of democracy
-Socialism and communism are the same thing
-Communist countries have failed because of a horrible government basis
-The "Labor Theory Value" or L.T.V. is what failed communist economies
Facts that can dispel the above
-Communism though not called so is largely democratic calling upon the votes of the entire society
-Communism does not allow leaders of commerce while socialism sees them as possible parts of the ideal society
-Communist governments in the past failed because of just that, leaders and governments
-L.T.V. or the amount of labor put into an item determines its worth has been largely viewed as a great benefit to communist society by helping to keep everyone equal
Thoughts? What's your thoughts? Do you agree or disagree with the fact that communism is apparently not all that bad?

Communism has some good features, but the positives are outweighed by the negatives. What we really need is a hybrid of a number of economic systems, picking the best from all of them. We'll never have the perfect system, but we can always strive towards it.

Communism fails because of a lack of incentive structure. If you truly want a complete middling of all people with everyone at the same income, there is no motivation to pursue work that is more difficult/more strenuous/less desireable. Why become a doctor, an oil rig worker, or any other "difficult" job when bagging groceries pays the same? You end up with a shortage of labor for the jobs most needed in a civilized society. And if you force certain people into specific jobs, you eliminate free will and end up with a populace that feels it is unfairly mistreated - the very opposite of what you were trying to achieve in the first place.

So you stopped trolling all of a sudden Cay? OT: It's great on paper, but practiced it sucks.
-
Communism on paper, is a fantastic ideal. Unfortunately it cannot be translated effectively onto a country.
-
Both communism and capitalism are bad.

As everyone else will say. Communism only works if everyone is a robot.
