The only thing I don't like is the color scheme. Well, and some other stuff.
Well, I know some people will hate the new setting to no end, but I think people will get used to it. To be frank, it's the logical extreme of what I think has made the bungie forums work so well up to this point: Uniformity. Rather than have a ton of different sub forums that only a few people go to, it had a few highly consolidated main forums. Now with the new setting, it will effectively end the massive gap between the flood, the community, and the game forums. I like it.
However, a less important but still massively pleasing aspect of bungie.net that I used to love was the color scheme. It was easy on the eye and fit nicely with the site. The new massive white space looks dull, generic, and most importantly, it's harder to look at. I don't think white text over a black screen is a good choice, but I think Maddox had a damn good point when he wrote that a computer monitor is closer to a light bulb than a piece of paper.
This could be fixed with the inclusion of skins or something similar, but I really don't want it to stay like this. Furthermore, if bungie.next does include skins, I'd highly recommend that this not be it. I mean, why wasn't the old color scheme carried over in the first place?
Edit:
A few other things that also popped to mind:
First, latest should be the default sort by option, not popular. The reason is that it makes getting new threads not only hard but also much more randomized. This tends to be less inviting for new comers.
Second, The avatar should be enlarged. I know that this might sound minor, but its incredible just how big of an association there is between avatars and users. The tiny little avatar, in my opinion, lessens the personality of a post.
Third, I loved the drop down menu for the different forums. It would be nice if such a menu existed that allowed my to quickly view certain hash tags regardless of were I am on the site.
