So I was trolling through the Bungie.net source code looking to see if Bungie left hidden messages like the old days. Turns out there is a script for forum bans. Ban lengths seemed fairly mirrored to the old system with one minor change: 3 Minute Bans. I'm curious to what one does to get 3 minute ban? Too many threads at once perhaps? If thats the case I wonder how many threads/posts it takes.
As far as everything else goes there are little footnotes from the webteam all over the place in there. Right click the background and "view source" to see more. Bans are on lines 127-138.

I'm pretty sure the three minute ban is for those accidental triple post moments that come from overeager mouse mashing.

Do you want to find out?

This is very interesting...

I love how there is a no reason ban...
-
At least it's not a 4 minute ban.

You could leave to go use the bathroom, be banned, and it would be over by the time you got back without you ever knowing. . .
-
I would assume it's for spamming.

I imagine that the one hour one is the "you're drunk" ban. The three minute one might be just for fun.

It's how they're going to take away everyone's titlebar when they're asleep.

Maybe for testing purposes? So you don't have to wait 3 days?
