I just play gamecube games on the Wii with a GC controller. Still just as fun.
-
Friendly reminder: Buy Super Monkey Ball

Wait, you never bought a GameCube? You missed out on some great games and good times, bruh.

Still, I think it will be amazing to have the game's unique style appreciated by another generation of gamers, and am still somewhat interested in seeing the slight enhancement. New features would be necessary to merit a purchase however, and even then I am wary of touching a game's legacy.

I still have my gamecube :) I wish I'd gotten more games on it, but Pokemon Colosseum+XD and Metal Arms are still great.

Edited by Mass Craziness: 1/23/2013 1:01:55 AMI have a Wii (I gave the Gamecube away). Sadly, my Wind Waker and Zelda: Collector's Edition are both broken. Good news? I have my Ocarina of Time/Master Quest Gamecube disc in usable condition (I have Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask as Wii Channels, however, so I can still play those as well), and I have Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword (I'm not too fond of Skyward Sword, however). Wind Waker was a great game. While I agree with what you said about Twilight Princess going more modern, it did so in an effort to touch into a darker atmosphere at some points, which would've been silly on the more toon-like graphics. In doing so, it was able to touch a bit more of the feelings of Majora's Mask. Admittedly, it can be seen and compared to today's games, but, as a Legend of Zelda game, it can still stand out amongst them. Skyward Sword did a blending of the two, both graphically, gameplay, and mood-wise. It was certainly interesting, however I found myself not liking it as much (as the part of the gameplay that reflected Wind Waker's sailing had much less to discover, and the part that reflected Twilight Princess's dungeon-packed, vast overworld was broken up). Wind Waker finds a nice balance between too much stuff and not enough to do. While it lacks a traditional overworld packed to the brim with goods, it still maintains a good adventure, and you can find all sorts of interesting things that make Wind Waker's world interesting and fun. Good purchase, Tom. Glad you enjoyed it.

Now get Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Shine Sprite, Paper Mario TTYD, and SSBM and you'll have a good footing.

OM-Gawd your review of Halo 4 was really over-exaggerating about the flaws of Halo 4.
-
Finally someone who understands why Nintendo is #1 when it comes to making video games...
-
You should have gotten Twilight Princess
-
Wind waker was my least favorite Zelda. I don't remember why though.

Edited by ZealotSG: 1/23/2013 12:56:04 AMAh I remember your valuable posts about Firefight. Shame that got ignored for this kill 'em all spam fest called Spartan Ops. This is how a kill 'em all fight should be anyways. Building our own battles. Has that never occurred to these people? My marines do so well when I have control over them. If only Sun Tzu's sacred words were meaningful in a Halo game:
Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys; look upon them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death. If, however, you are indulgent, but unable to make your authority felt; kind-hearted, but unable to enforce your commands; and incapable, moreover, of quelling disorder: then your soldiers must be likened to spoilt children; they are useless for any practical purpose.
Emulators for the win.

It made you buy a good game?
-
this is old news.
-
Be had a GameCube since 2004. I bought Twilight Princess for it on release day. I still have it.
-
Are you saying Wind Waker is better then Halo 4?
-
I have a Wii. I only use it to play Gamecube titles. And Twilight Princess.
-
How much did it cost?
-
Should have went back to Morrowind.
-
I always hated the bumpers and C stick of the GameCube controller. The C stick felt inaccurate IMO. While the bumpers felt unresponsive and too big.

Heh, I'm also looking for a GameCube, some controllers and smash bros melee but the prices are crazy
