[quote]Pre-Post[/quote][quote]Suggestions:
default text box size change
preview feature
word count[/quote]The first thing I think should be done about posts starts in the posting process. We should be able to set a default size for the text box in our profile settings so I don't have to keep expanding it to make posts longer than two or three paragraphs and easily view it all. Additionally, a preview feature would be much appreciated. I'm not sure if it just wasn't included in the beta because it's obviously coming back and not essential, or if it was actually deemed unfit to cross over into the next generation of Bungie's forums, but regardless it should be brought back. Finally as far as pre-posting goes, I'd like the word counter to return. It's nice to know exactly how long your post is at any given time in comparison to how long it can be.[quote]Formatting[/quote][quote]Suggestions:
colored text (20-50 characters)
strike-through
official Google tag[/quote]Next: formatting. I think people should be allotted 20-50 characters of colored text, whatever color they want, per post. This could add some variety to the post while at the same time ensuring people aren't making 2-3 paragraphs of neon green and that it's just used to highlight, accentuate, or signify a section title of some sort. Also, if we could get strike-through BBCode, that'd be just swell. As a side note, I know daza made a thread about how we have a Google tag. If that's official in any way, could we have a button for that in the post-writing box? Please and thank you.[quote]Post Order and Chronology[/quote][quote]Suggestions:
no more most recent post first
display original post date/time after edit
no more sub-threading[/quote]Finally, I'd like to bring up the topic of post-ordering. I know it's been discussed to death already and that me mentioning it one more time won't do much, but post chronology working by most recent post is just terribly disconcerting, post dates are totally changed when something is edited, and sub-threading is just a terrible inefficient way to organize a thread. It makes reading conversations very difficult, especially when I have to click on each sub-thread to read it. I get that the intention was to make reading conversations easier and reduce clutter at the same time, but it's just not something you can do without making the system extremely inefficient.
What're your thoughts on posts and posting and how it can be fixed from the current model?

Edited by DefiniteInfinity: 1/20/2013 4:09:10 PMThanks for all the likes everyone. Really. But if you could go ahead and also comment your opinions that'd be great. Having a #1 popular thread in #Septagon with 0 replies looks a little silly.
