Okay, so I was basically promised a leader position in my troop after I graduate (even though I didn't make Eagle). I went to this "meeting" to discuss what I have to do, blah blah bull shit.
Well, then the deal breaker came. If I am helping recruit kids, I CAN NOT accept Gays or Atheists...
Are you serious right now? I don't feel right supporting a "American" group that does that.

Edited by BADMAGIK: 1/20/2013 12:09:19 AMOP, enough with this crap ok. If you really are part of the Boy Scouts you would know their stance on issues as it has been the same since the organization's creation. Stop acting like this is something new to you so you can try to get attention on an off topic forum.

Drop. Tell them to suck it and flip them the bird on the way out. Go with your beliefs.
-
leave and make your own Boy Scouts, with Blackjack and Hookers
-
Don't do it. Up and quit. Trust me. You'll be way too busy in college to deal with any of that crap.
-
Take the job, accept them anyways. problem solved
-
What the -blam!-? Nothing like that here in Australia. Hell, it's not even called the "boy scouts" here anymore, all mixed gender. Anybody can join... unless you're trying to join as a leader and have a bad criminal record or something. :P
-
When I first read it, I thought you meant that you didn't want to accept them. But yeah, that's really stupid. The boyscouts can go -blam!- itself.
-
secretly record them saying that and then expose them. muahahaha
-
Well, I'm pretty sure it's not a public organization so they can do what they want. It's your decision to stay or leave though. Although if you feel like it's wrong, take it up with someone who has the authority to change it.

Gather an army of athiest and gays, and overthrow the Boyscouts organization
-
*Insert joke about scoutmasters touching scouts here* *Hyuk hyuk* Sounds like a legitimate reason to leave, though.
-
'MURICA!

Of course, the gaytheist menace is a threat to the fabric of society
