HNY everyone ... early morning, still pumped. Back after 3 months to see whats changed.
Not much it appears. Few of my questions have been locked without answer, nor reason why.
So one question left - will crimson or aerospace see any action in 2013, or has the whole project been shelved?
Why was it stopped after only one game, did Bungie not know what effort it would require?
The launch was presented as part of the companies fresh start, also implied that this made them better than Microsoft (as they would stand by the small developers).
Posted by: Crysentros I sent a message to Harebraineed schemes about a coupl days ago and he said this "I'm a Producer here at Harebrained Schemes and received your email. I'm afraid I don't have good news -- there are currently no plans for another chapter or sequel for Crimson Steam Pirates.
I too have asked this question, but had better luck. One of the team passed on the tools they used to make the maps. You can make the battle into any form of conflict you want, the pirates came about as they could develop a background story with the characters. It wasn't an "official" copy, but if you join the game engine forums I am sure you will come across some threads which will lead you to the right place. It is not good how bungie pushed HBS into making a launch day game and then stopped supporting the whole project.
Posted by: Crysentros The thing is, the game is actually owned and controlled by Bungie
And 'controlled' is not meant in a nice way. There has been chatter on the engine forum, with clightly different words used, to describe bungies controlling way. Kinda obvious that things didn't go HBS way ... running away from bungie on all following games.

The thing is, the game is actually owned and controlled by Bungie -- they published / financed it. We developed it. So if you're looking to drum up a petition and demand that the fans be satisfied *grin* then you'll need to persuade Bungie to finance the production of more content. I wish you the best of luck. We're very proud of what we did with Crimson and would love to see it continue in one form or another."

Just noticed that one thing has changed ...
Top Forum Topics No topics found
How long has the crimson forum been going? And bungie think that there is not a single topic worthy. There is your answer right there - lol
