Thought we could have one, since more members of MBT are starting to play. You know how these things work.
For those that don't know or are interested, league of legends is a free online game where you fight in arenas on teams, trying to destroy the enemy base. Its that RTS-styled field of view, but your champion has skills. Its not an RPG, its not an RTS. Its fun. leagueoflegends.com

As for IPL5, it looks like Asian Domination yet again. CLG EU is my only hope right now, and for M5 to battle back from the losers bracket. If I have to cheer for an Asian team, I'll cheer for TPA. What do you guys think is wrong with TSM?
-
I guess I go manmode cause its fun when you pull it off. Ill try to do it less when we are playing serious :P
-
Thanks for the feedback Theo. I think I do get a bit emotional at times. It is something I need to fix in all aspects of life to be honest. So far guys I like how the feedback is working. Everyone has been professional about this. Don't feel reserved not to write a second review.

Alex Ich just got a pentakill as AP Master Yi. Wow, never thought I'd see that in the pro level.

It's how I play. I never go into a matchup with an opinion other than that I am a better player than the person in the lane across from me, and that I can and will beat them. I know it sometimes gets carried over to you guys, and again, I apologize for that. It's just how I am and the mindset that I get into whenever I play competitively. It doesn't have anything to do with me getting gold, it has everything to do with how I think and how I need to be in my head to be able to compete. If I get out of hand just call me an idiot and tell me to chill.

Ill try to manmode less then lol. Anyone watching the IPL5? I am on my tv! Its formatted kinda weird so the edges are off the screen. I can barely see the kill score, cant see the team gold, and can't the the 5th players on the bottom

My turn: Dan: Pros: You're an amazing farmer. Rarely do you ever get outfarmed. You also have good mechanics and can often beat other carries 1v1. You do an awesome job of carrying. Keep it up. Cons: Your positioning is a little off sometimes. When you get jumped by the enemy team you also sometimes blame it on your teammates. I also agree that you should communicate a little more in lane. You focus tanks sometimes, but of course you must kill the first thing in front of you if they dive you. Alec: Pros: You play a very large repertoire of champions and have good mechanics with them all. You have a good sense for the game and have lots of experience. You usually make good calls and are a good leader. Cons: You like to go man-mode sometimes where you dive too hard (like others have said). You also are very snowball prone. If you get the first kill in a lane, you usually dominate. If the opponent does the same, you usually get destroyed. Try to balance it out some. Also, you are very pessimistic at times. There are games that we may be down but not out. We can turtle and turn some games around. Don't be so quick to call GG. Gavin: Pros: You're good at supporting in every way. You time your wards and rarely feed the enemy ADC. You also have good map awareness. Cons: You get frustrated easily and it shows in your gameplay. Keep it calm, as anyone is capable of making a comeback. Broaden your game knowledge and also learn more supports (like Leona). Also communicate more with Dan. A great time to be agressive is when an enemy ADC is going for a last hit. Note your minions health. Also try and memorize summoner cooldowns and abilities and ultimate cooldowns to know a good time to engage. Vishra Pros: You are great when you choose champions you're good with. You rarely lose in lane and know the limits of your champions very well. You are aggressive and help with ganks/tower dives very well. Your early and mid game are very effective. Cons: Sometimes your positioning is off and sometimes you think you can carry harder than you really can. You also underestimate you opponent and enemy jungler quite often, claiming "they suck." Don't be over aggressive. Suns Pros: You are great in lane and usually always win your matchup. You also make smart decisions and rarely have stupid deaths. You definitely know the limits of your champions and are not overaggressive. Cons: If you are winning your matchup, try roaming or ganking when your enemy is recalling or is dead. It could put you even more ahead. Sometimes you initiate in shaky situations and think you're in the right. While sometimes you may have a point, its okay to move on from bad exchanges and keep playing.
Posted by: The Crow SMK So I wonder if I should buy the sightstone first or the philosphers stone.
Depends on the matchup I think. If the enemy has an early ganker, you'll probably want to go Sightstone first. If you can afford to wait a bit longer, then you go Philo first. It's a bit cheaper this season as well.

Vishra: Positives: +You understand the game well enough to not blindly follow common builds and to challenge those builds with your own. +You also have good focus when it comes to important objectives and keeping us on track Negatives: -You think you're the hottest -blam!- since you got Gold. You over-estimate your own abilities or under estimate the enemies, or you don't notice some pattern that ends up getting people killed. Dan The Man Positives: You carry, nuff said. Negatives: We don't do the Brothers Lane enough to practice and perfect it. Really though you are a star player and you just gotta talk to us cause youre -blam!- hilarious. Theo C-C-Combos. Positives: You call good shots. You know when and where the team should be, who needs to get their -blam!- together and who is doing great. You also play a good variety of top and jungles, which can be two harder roles because they needa take the flak (jungle) and needa build up those hefty shoulders (top). Negatives: You aren't always the most aware to your own duties. There will be times where a lane is going down and you are off jungling, when you could have just gone there. You are getting better with this though. Gavin: Pretty much what other people said. You do good at supporting, just needa branch out and use different supports. Also build Zeke's herald if Dan is fed like he usually is. Darkest of Aces: You hate on me a lot, I don't know why :( and you get hated on a lot, I don't know why :( You play just fine, you have a decent variety of champs you can play. The only negative I can think of is you just needa make sure as a Top Laner not to feed your lane. Top laners are strong enough as is with all the farm they get. Kills matter a lot more up there, as most top laners are tanks or bruisers that can steamroll all over the rest of the team in fights. So just win your lane more and don't get so upset when everyone is blaming you. I tuff through it, so can you. Jank: Needs to join MBT. Nuff said. Anyone I am forgetting? TL:DR Vish: You arent as great as you think you are. Dan: You are as great as you think you are. Tell me more. Gavin: Branch out more, youre a solid support Theo: Just be more aware of your role Ortizzl: Haters gonna hate, get better at holding out in a disadvantaged lane Myself: Pros: Alec you can play a wide variety of roles and champs "solidly" which lets the rest of your team play their best, which is great. You take a natural leadership role from habit and from playing the game obsessively. Cons: You get too damn cocky son. You sometimes lose faith in your team to accomplish goals, and you sometimes act like you are way better than them and know this game better. This causes you to dive too deep sometimes, breaking up the good leadership role you had. Learn to respect your teammates skills and they will respect yours more. Also, play what you are good at. Don't play something just cause you haven't played it in a while or are in the mood to play it. Ex: You dominate with Swain. You decide to go Vlad cause you wanna try to get better with him, you feed hard with vlad. Shoulda gone Swain.

What do you guys think is wrong with TSM? Also, Gavin, to familiarize you with season 3 items, check this out. Study it some.
-
Also, ty for the advice Gavin. I know that one of my biggest issues is understanding my limits in a fight, and I go in on fights thinking I can do more than I actually do. A big part of what I've been trying to do lately is play more consistently and set myself up via good farming/smart engages. As for the champion picks, I'll admit that is absolutely my fault and a mistake. In general I treat normal games as a much more relaxed thing where I can fool around a bit more/try things I don't normally get to do, and I'll admit I may have had it carry over into some of our ranked games.
-
I feel like Nami is definitely your style, and is going to become a competitive staple. As for items, the biggest thing I think I can say is that overall, wards take priority over building any real items. You want to get a phil stone/other GP10 pretty quickly, but after that, you need to make sure you have wards at all times. Sightstone is going to be a MASSIVE help in this area for the role, and will honestly probably become staple for mid as well. Otherwise, a lot of the items are things that are situation/team comp dependent, and you'll figure them out the more you play. Zeke's should come out when we have a double ad comp. Aegis is rarely a bad choice, as it helps everyone defensively. Sherlyia's isn't as important unless the team is a strong initation team or you need to be able to outrun the other team. A big one is going to be the new item that gives an ally champion a slow aura. It'll rival the usefulness of Shurelyias, and gives you more options to help the team engage. Overall, you do a pretty good job, but whenever you're watching a pro match, keep an eye on what each support builds and specifically what order they build it in. This TSM v. Curse.EU game is making me cry. Reginald is one of the worst Zyras I've ever seen, and he picked her into a highly, highly skill-based matchup. Doesn't seem like he plays her nearly enough.
-
Thanks for the feedback Vishra. I've been working in Champs like Kayle, Alistar, and Zyra more in normals. It will be a while till I can say there are one of my core champs. I think once Nami is released, she will be in my top 5 since I've played her in PBE. Also, I still suck at items because my knowledge of the game is very little. I only understand the support champions needs, not the rest of yall. The biggest ones I think I go for now is Aegis, Zerak's, and Shereylias. But I understand there will be some more interesting support items which I think I am gonna need a lot of help with picking out.
-
I feel like that is probably the best description I have heard/seen of my playstyle Gavin lol. I usually end up doing that balls-to-the-wall mode when I am some tanky top laner. Top or Mid seem to be my two main roles, but like you said I can handle everything. Ill add some reviews when I can
-
Darkace - Top/Mid Pros - You usually win your lane, and are far enough ahead to be a big presence in mid-game teamfights. You farm well, and you have very good instincts on where the power level of your champion/abilities are. You farm well, and you are getting very good at figuring out what items are neede both by yourself/the team and getting them. Cons - You win your lane, but you don't take advantage of it. The reason why so many people dislike playing toplane is because of how incredibly snowbally the lane is. 1 kill or 15 cs ahead of the enemy laner and you can absolutely crush them unless the jungler pulls off some major help. You consistently get multiple kills ahead of your opponent, but often you don't actually bully them. I think the best way to improve that area itself is to watch a vid or two of Wickd playing Irelia. As soon as he is ahead, you can't come back because of his pressure on his lane opponent. If you do that, you'll be even more of a terror toplane. My other main comment would be what I told you while we talking on LoL the other day. Start playing ranked with your 4/5 best champions, at least 2 games or so a day. Ranked really is a completely different level than normal queues are, and if you focus on a few specific champions, and learn them in a more competitive environment, it will make you an even better player. Theo - Jungle/Top Pros - You last hit pretty well in lane, and overall you're great at picking champions that pull our team comp together in terms of synergy. You have a fairly large pool of champs you can play effectively, and you and Alec are our two most diverse players. When you gank it's usually at least a burned flash, if not a kill. Cons - Map awareness. Junglers are the role that needs to be most aware of where everyone on both teams are at all time. Early game your job is to get our lanes ahead as often as possible, while keeping yourself up with jungle farm in between. The problem with that is that you sometimes have difficulties clearing your jungle routes fast, and there are games where you get timid with your ganks. My suggestion would be to stick with the jungle paths for each champ that is in their guides on mobafire/solomid, at least for the first clear or two. If you fall behind the enemy jungler/lanes, it just snowballs you into a bad position. The other thing isn't truly a con, but more of a thought. Overall, when we're playing ranked 5s, we need one (1) person to make the calls. If we leave laning phase and everyone is going to yell out who to go for in a teamfight, we're never going to have good focus. We need to settle on one person, and have them make the calls on when to go in, who is priority, etc. The reason I list this under your part is because the two roles who do this most often are the mid and jungle. I know you have the ability to do this, and do it well, but it's something you'll need to step up to and embrace. Dan Pros - You outlane 90% of your competition, through good farming and picking your fights well against the opposing bot lane. Once teamfights start you're good at positioning yourself where you need to be for maximum effectiveness, particularly with Graves and Ezreal. Cons - As Gavin said, you are somewhat light on communication with the rest of the team. You and whoever your support is should be talking quite often. If you want to make it a farm lane, let the support know. If you want to go aggressive for a kill lane, you guys need to be on the same page: who is initiating, whats the signal to go in, etc. etc. I would also like to see you learn/play a few more champs, Kog, Vayne, and Draven in particular. All 3 are monsters lategame, and while you've been playing Draven more, I would love to see that trio in your repetoire. Gavin Pros - You know your role very well, and you know the limits of the champs that you play. You're rarely out of position, especially in lane, and you do a great job of snowballing Dan/adc. Cons - You still have a fairly small support pool. Most of the supports that I see you doing well with (Sona, Janna, Taric primarily) are great, but they also leave some doors closed for certain comps. Zyra, Alistar, Leona, and Lulu are all supports I would love to see you learn to play/learn better. You also need to work on your itemization. With the new changes coming in season 3, it looks to be a great time to be playing support, but you need to know which item is right for the situation you are in, both for you and your team. Everyone else besides Jank I don't really think I've played with enough recently to be able to say accurately what I think they need to work on/where their strengths are. Vishra - AP Mid Improve - Consistency. You are chosen to be the AP mid for a reason. The reason is to carry where the ADC can't. There will be games where you pull of a 10/0. And then there will be games 0/10. I understand we have bad games, but the infrequency of which is very frustrating to the rest of the team. There needs to be a balance and hopefully you can find it with more gameplay with us. One suggestion I would try is instead of all these experimental builds and champions, you just need to stick a rotation of 5 champs with their own builds. Also, if it seems like you are going to have one of those bad games, then we need to get you to at least not feed the lane or get plenty of CS. Coordinate with Theo to scare of the other AP mid. Farm witches and dogs and -blam!-. Remember, you're supposed to be ahead of all of us. Sustain - The focus. Out of all the people, I noticed you have the right idea of where to put all the power. That is often why you get jumped by the other team a lot because you usually end up doing a ton of burst damage on the target champion. Dan of course usually cleans up all the kills (as he should). Remember to share with everyone what your focus is because often it's right.
-
Alec - Any lane Improve - Do the team. There is a type of mode you get into everyone knows as the Alec. Basically you off and do this weird aggressive reckless nature that no one can follow and ends up costing a lot to the team. Such as you'll get a nice initiation on one opponent, but when it seems hopeless to keep pursuing, you keep going in deeper and end up just getting killed yourself with no reward. It's rather frustrating to watch and especially since you often don't see anything wrong with it. You need to play with the team more often. It's the league of cheeze, not the league of retard. Sustain - Consistency in performance. Despite your radical retard moments, you are pretty consistent with whatever your role is whether it be mid, top, or jungle. I am assuming your favored role at this point is top. If you drop the whole "do it for myself" moments, you can consistently carry our team (noted that Dan is already carrying).

Do me now gavin do me
-
Preesh Gavin. Cant wait to have u back. LoL aint da same without ya.
-
Thanks for the feedback. I love to be agressive, but I also need to be smart about it. Alot of my games go either very badly or very well because of my aggression.
-
Theo - Jungle Improve - Read the lanes better. Note that there are going to be plenty of situations where the lane is countered or at a stalemate. These are perfect situations where the jungler can turn it around. I think it is during those times you should most aggressive on the lane instead of the jungle. As much as you probably want to counter jungle, obtain gold and experience from lesser minions, the game is being decided in the lanes. If for example you see where bot lane has a sustain type, that would be your perfect moment to bring a gank. Give me and Dan the heads up, we will make the gank goes smoothly for you as well. Sustain - Tower dives. Out of all the players I've been with, you've had the most successes with the tower. Usually that is while you're playing with Heracrim or Shyvanna that have great tower dive ults. You utilize those times very well and make the enemy pay for staying there freeing up the lane for the rest of the game.
-
Well I'll start this. Simply state the person and their role because some of us have multiple roles. I'll start off with Dan since he is my lanning partner Dan - ADC Improve - I can't tell what you are thinking. There are times when you sit very silently in bottom lane that you would rather last hit minions the whole time. Still being very new, I am not sure of how you would want to go about winning the lane. Most of the time, I find ourselves being jumped and we have to turn it around for the kill. I am trying to figure out if you want me to initiate the aggression, or rather be on the defensive end of things. I think it would help me realize where I should be zoning. I think we have been doing so well together because we can connect, but I think it can be better. Sustain - The safe decision. I like how you won't risk too much just to get that kill. Never over committing, and never out of position. I'll also add in here that your farm is either where it should be or better. You have some of the best last hitting skills.
-
Fully support this idea. I know areas where I personally think I need to improve, but I also know others see things about my play and thought processes that I don't. Think it was Dark Ace I was playing with where one comment actually made me stop and take look at how I was playing a situation, and how I could be doing it better.
