Official League of Legends discussion thread
Thought we could have one, since more members of MBT are starting to play. You know how these things work.
For those that don't know or are interested, league of legends is a free online game where you fight in arenas on teams, trying to destroy the enemy base. Its that RTS-styled field of view, but your champion has skills. Its not an RPG, its not an RTS. Its fun. leagueoflegends.com

I don't think he's overpowered at all. If anything, surprisingly balanced for a new champion.

First time ever playing Draven I went 13/1/14. I can't wait for nubs to scream nerf him.

He is a pretty strong, basically OP pick. Can easily go top lane or bot lane. Does have a decently higher skill cap though. You can tell when a Draven is bad

And Darius is pretty strong. If the player is smart and the team is good, he really can just sweep through the whole team. Most of them are stupid though, especially if they get fed, and think they can take on your whole team.

It is easy to do and completely customizable. You can change the number of pics you want in it, pick the champs you want, and even the skins of each champ. So some guy was telling me Heimerdinger is underpowered. Decided to prove him wrong, told him to spectate me as I dominate. 9-2-11 as Heim, against a Morde, with many ganks from their fed-top-Talon (he was like 4-0) and their bot lane Alistar (our bot lost their lane). We won, I carried hard, and made their talon ragequit at the end.

New champ Varus is finally out. After playing him a few times, I have decided he is a decent AD carry. His passive is really amazing. As soon as you get an assist or kill, your attack speed gets amazing. If you are in a position for it and not getting focused, you become a machinegun. His Q does a ton of damage early game, especially if you don't hit minions with it. Late game though it isn't too amazing, really good for getting the snipe last hits on enemies, and for proccing your W. The W is kinda lack luster. It is magic damage, unlike Vaynes truedamage, so it doesnt really make a huge difference against tankier enemies who have MR. The E is nice damage early game, its grevious wound effect is nice when fighting enemies that have heals/lifesteal/spellvamp. The main reason for it though is the slow. Its not a huge slow, but its enough. The Ult is fun. Its range and skillshot size is about the same as Fizz's, and then it works like a slowmotion Amumu ult. Really good for big teamfights, or just making sure the enemy cant escape. Overall he is decent. I am not the best when it comes to AD-carries though. He doesnt feel OP, but like most AD carries, when he isnt focused he deals out TONS of damage. Build: Dorans (sell later) BasicBoots (builds up) Dorans(sell later) Beserker Greeves Bloodthirster Zeal (builds up) Black Cleaver Phantom Dancer From there just build what you need. You could change the BF to an Infinity Edge, I just prefer the BF's lifesteal. Final build (end game) Phantom Dancer (or beserker greaves) Phantom Dancer Bloodthirster Black Cleaver (or a Last Whisper) Infinity Edge (Or another bloodthirster) Guardian Angel

Visually at least, I don't like how big it is. Half the things hitting you are coming from off screen.

From videos I've seen of Dota2 gameplay, it looks like I would hate it. Might be cause I am so used to how LoL looks, but Dota2 just looks bad, in terms of just viewing pleasure. Then again, before I played LoL, I thought it looked bad too from videos.

I did :P I already got in to the Dota2 beta, I was one of the randomly chosen. Dota2 could be fun, but there are a lot of aspects about it that I don't like. I probably have a bias towards league, but oh well.
