Official League of Legends discussion thread
Thought we could have one, since more members of MBT are starting to play. You know how these things work.
For those that don't know or are interested, league of legends is a free online game where you fight in arenas on teams, trying to destroy the enemy base. Its that RTS-styled field of view, but your champion has skills. Its not an RPG, its not an RTS. Its fun. leagueoflegends.com

While I agree you two do well, it won't matter if our team composition/overall team work sucks. We lost that game for several reasons: 1) No true tank 2) Poor initiation 3) Bad teamwork, especially in team fights. You also have to give credit where credit is due. The veigar was a force to be reckoned with and was literally a threat to our whole team alone. Unfortunately we also had an early-mid game team comp. We fell off while players like Mundo and Veigar got stronger. Veigar and Nasus are two champions in this game that can excell beyond full builds, making them very OP in <45 minute games.

Havent gotten a chance to actually play, but I got the new Ahri and Xerath skins, and have enough RP for one more, but I wanna wait for a really good skin

HOLY -blam!-! So after a bunch of us commented in the PBE Forum about how unsatisfying leveling Zyra's W was, we were told she would be getting a tweak on it in the next patch. Last night they updated the PBE, and her Rampant Growth now has a passive with it: 4% CDR per level. With CDR Boots, I instantly max out my CDR with a lvl 5 W. Hell, I can do it with just the W and masteries. Absolutely bonkers.

Well, Theo is gone for the weekend. Alec may or may not be alive/still at camp/who cares he's Alec. I've spent most of today on the PBE playing Zyra. You and Suns have both been on today. The Mexicans are unaccounted for, but otherwise, I dunno who else you expected? Play some solo queue, stomp face :P Zyra is quickly becoming one of my favorite champs. She is probably one of, if not the best AP Carry at wave clearing. Yes, better than Karthus, Anivia, or Morgana. Her E and her Q are both ridiculous clearers, even without a seed down. Her burst is crazy, especially at low levels, and she has a great range with it. My biggest concern atm is finding the right build with her. I feel like she wants to go very burst-heavy items such as Deathcap, but she doesn't scale very well like Ahri. I don't know if her plants give her anything like spell vamp from their damage, but I think I might try out a build like Vlad's, with a Revolver/WOTA in her build path. Can't wait til Tuesday when I can hopefully play her with everyone on the regular realm.

Zyra up on the PBE, about to go play her as soon as I finish loading my updates. After a first glance at her stats, following thoughts: Her W functions kind of like Heimers Q, where you store seeds (max 2) every 17 sec. Biggest difference is that a seed only lasts 30 seconds once placed, so it leads me to think they want her to be much more of a burst or combo champion, instead of the slow poke and kite Heimer is. Her Q sounds a lot like Karthus' Q, planting a seed that explodes after a delay. The big difference is that if cast on a seed, it grows it into a plant with a decent range that fires projectiles. Its scaling is fairly average, but it has a decent range. E seems like her best ability; range of an Ahri orb or charm, roots opponents and deals damage. If it hits a seed, it does the same thing Q does, only at a bit shorter range. Look like they want you to combo E into Q, so you root your opponents, grow seeds, then damage opponents and grow the seed into a longer range. R is an AOE knockup that does damage, as well as growing seeds into plants with a decent range and 50% increased AS. Seems beast in a teamfight, and in combination with something like an Amumu ult could feasibly wipe an entire team. I'm worried about the amount of damage it actually does with its scaling, but we'll see. Her passive is reminiscent of Kogmaw. When she dies she grows into a plant, firing off one last projectile. The big deal here is that the projectile is guided by what you're mousing over, and it does TRUE DAMAGE to every champion it passes through. That seems huge to me. If you're being chased, you can turn and burst your opponents down, then snipe them off with your passive. I'll post again after I get a few games in with her, but I think she needs to be built more like a LeBlanc or Ahri, instead of Karthus or Morgana, so Rabadons, Rylais, Hextech, instead of Rod of Ages, Zhonyas, etc. EDIT: I need to get Cass so I can buy that skin.
