Where you're going wrong is that you are writing to get people to read it, not for the enjoyment of the act of writing itself. Myself, AJ and Wolvers for example are all writers of equal skill, but myself and AJ don't get many readers (well I write original stuff so can't post it here), but we don't mind because we LOVE just writing for the sake of it.
