Ever since installing The Final Shape my PS5 has not operated correctly. Shortly after installing, I started receiving messages that my system was overheating, although I'd only been playing for minutes. Ultimately, after two messages my system would shut down. I took my PS5 apart and cleaned it, although it wasn't Dusty or dirty at all. I even added extra fans to the back of the unit thinking that it was still a cooling problem. After reaching out to Sony they suggested sending it back in, but I still didn't think it was a system problem. I started playing a number of other games over the past 4 or 5 months and have not had a problem with my shutting down or alerting me to an overheating issue. So with that, I went ahead and uninstalled all of Destiny 2, and then did a reinstall. Unfortunately, after trying to play the game again with Revenant, the alerts are only coming faster with the system and it is shutting down even quicker than it did previously. I'm convinced this is some type of firmware software issue within Destiny itself, and I'm curious if anybody else has experienced the same. I don't want to return the system, pay the fee and then have to wait 6 weeks to get my system back, but I do enjoy playing Destiny 2. But, that is the only game that my system won't play currently. I would appreciate any assistance or input or thoughts anyone has.
