Crafting system made sure everyone who put in X amount of time will eventually get the perk combo they want , whether it took 5 hours or 20 hours to get all patterns and that respected players time and it was a good move by bungie
Then you go ahead and remove it from seasonal weapons , is it because the one who introduced it got layed off or something idk ?
You removed luck based system to something that rewards someone who spends their time . I've focused around 300 Aurvandil FR6 and didn't get a single one with reconstruction and chill chip and my friend got it on their 5th or 6th focus. That is the bullshit randomness system you have with current seasonal weapons, dungeon weapons
Other than hard core players who spend hours grinding your game ( who will eventually burn out ofcourse ) , you're making the game less appealing for anyone who has a job and have limited playtime which is majority of playebase.
Idk about others but I feel less motivated to buy season passes anymore or play anything beyond the story ( which I can just YouTube it ) .. the time spend on destiny just got less rewarding and if you're " unlucky " you make zero progress.
You had a nice idea and you're throwing it away and making the game less appealing. Good job bungie.

crafting in this game sucked. This not an MMO like WOW, it is a looter shooter. Bungie's desire to constantly change, and add perks has lead to an untenable situation. There are too many perk combos and too many worthless weapons. Making the grind impossible. Rather than address the core issue they put in place a poorly desired system that still relies too heavily on RNG. It was broken from the start and is still a poor replacement for good game design.
