Artifacts and why I don’t like them and want them to change
Okay so this is a concept that isn’t unique to d2 and was in d1 and both had ups and downs but I think I would want the d1 versions back because they had some unique traits that made them powerful yet balanced in a way (except one I’ll talk about later)
Now let’s talk about destiny 2 artifacts first of all I hate them for just being seasonal and mostly having perks just to compete against champions, second there are just objectively better options in all of the artifacts that just make the other ones seem undesirable and lastly they aren’t permanent and if a build requires them to work then you know full well that build isn’t surviving for long once that season/ episode ends
Now onto destiny 1s artifacts, now they weren’t overall flashy and just gave some buffs depending on which you got, but they really peaked when it came to the iron banner set as some were strong and some were specifically the best to use in certain areas, ie the broken one as we all know it was the one that granted guardian near you while your super is charged increased super speed, which was kinda busted but fair since you could only use it in 2 areas, but there were some fun ones as well, infinite sprint which d1 didn’t have, but I will admit it definitely was not perfect as their perks were rng but I still think is somewhat better then d2’s
