Lightning Surge needs a massive PvE damage buff.
It makes no sense being in the pathetic state that it's been in for months. It's not just lightning surge either. Most warlock abilities hit like wet noodles in the face of hunter and titan abilities, and these bullet sponge adds/bosses.

It’s weak AF and getting it every minute doesn’t make it usable. I put the Crown of Tempest build together and was disappointed with how weak it is.

2 RepliesI mean I’ve never tried using it on stormcaller but specifically on prismatic you can use it with arcane needle and it’s good for clearing rooms with lots of red bars. I’ve used it with necrotic grips and it feels alright only cause you can get three charges of it. (It’s literally a warlock version of consecration spam) On stormcaller I could definitely see it needing a bit of a buff since you only get one charge of it without claws of ahamkara but at that point why not use those for double chain lightning?

Yeah, Stormcaller in general is barely even a real subclass at this point. It's basically just "Arc Soul, the Subclass", because that's the only part of the kit Bungie seems to care about, when they occasionally toss a buff or two to the weakest subclass in the game. :(
