Somehow, this exotic just keeps getting worse and worse. Not that it was ever any good! We lost devour via grenade consumption, removing synergy from Voidwalker just to get an exotic to take its place that offers no synergy!
Before Devour used to grant its Aspect version to all classes. Which allowed for you to gain the benefits of (Feed the Void) while running Child of the Old Gods and Chaos Accelerant. You are no longer able to do that, so you either spec heavily into another commit to your rift playstyle Exotic just to get Devopur activated by running an "Empowering Rift" which than removes any synergy since healing rift grants ability energy and empowering grants a sup par healing from "Child of the old gods" that your just better off running A vanguard weapon with its intrinsic perk "Vanguards Vindication" which grants 7hp per kill as the health returns via Child of the Old Gods is -blam!-! It's so bad that most people have no clue that Child of the Old Gods has a different function depending on your rift!
Now, Secant Filaments got another untargeted Nerf before you could get a devour timer up to 22 seconds! While also running Echo of Persistence which increased your devours duration! Now when you leave your rift and refreshes enter it it refreshes back down to 11 seconds from 22 and rentering it leaving your empowering rift refreshes it back to 11 seconds.
But the real kicker is just how bad the exotic is before these untargeted nerfs and now. Just for them to slap such a -blam!- perk on an exotic class item. But it's okay because Titans get an even better version of Secant Filaments with Mask of the quite one. Being Critically wounded or RAPID FINAL BLOWS GRANT DEVOUR! This isn't a dig at Titans but what the Actual F Bungie!
Rework this Exotic like this ! (Secant Filaments) activating any of your void abilities grants devour and makes you volatile. Assists and damage dealt from your void damage sources while Devour is active increase your health and transfers volatile to your targets. Continued damage to you or your volatile target spreads volatile to surrounding enemies and detonates around you.

Always been garbage. The "intrinsic" overload isn't all that helpful, you're better off just running an overload weapon. The problem comes from rift in at least two areas: it's tied to rift so you limit your "CD" for overload based on that. 2 slow cast animation/must be inside rift. 3 overload is usually the most problematic teleporting champion. 4 secants seems to glitch out too much for it to be consistent. 5 aspects hardly synergize with secant to the point you're "doubling up" on effects making it less valuable. Chaos accelerant without contraverse is just dead pve wise.
