It was already REALLY annoying to slog through whatever the Card Gimmick from Season of the Witch, but at least it was both easy to ignore and slightly intuitive (find a Card, get a Card). This Tonic thing, though, is a real Albatross around the neck of what would otherwise be just an unremarkably average Season. I mean, "Episode". These Fieldwork bounties feel timegated somehow, but its not on a weekly basis since I didn't get anything new during FOTL when I checked with Eido, and it doesn't feel connected to the new Sub-Episode, or whatever it is called. Not to mention that the UI at the table changed substantially, which is something that has never happened ever in the history of Destiny (at least regarding Seasonal Vendor stuff). A fellow Guardian I've talked to mentioned they picked up on it quickly, somehow, citing their experience playing "Rouge-Likes". I clearly must not know what on Earth a "Rogue-Like" is, and/or, have never played one; which is embarrassing to a degree as I consider myself a casual but well-rounded gamer. Regardless, I am frustrated that it is assumed by the Developers that when their players are actively playing an entirely different game, that they want that other game to also be Destiny. I'm going to keep it 100 with you: If I am spending my time playing Pokemon instead of Destiny, it isn't because I want Bungie to put Pokemon into Destiny, it is because I want play Pokemon. Stop it. Just stop trying to be something else. Just make Destiny. Or don't. Destiny has been pretty darn good all these years, tbh. Other than the low community morale due to...all the *gestures broadly*...stuff... I'd say that Final Shape is a pretty high note to finish out on thematically and narratively. Maybe this is just a good stopping point? There is a reason Tolkien didn't write "Return of the King: Episode 2". So... Maybe just. Stop? If you can't keep it simple; just don't.
