Got it! *Proceeds to nerf Warlocks
-
Nope. They're fine. Nerfing ruins weapons. There are plenty of other powerful weapons in Crucible, but it is usually about the skill of the player behind the weapon. Just remember that Crucible is a game and try to laugh because the antics ARE really funny, even if you're dying or losing. Just watch the player gloating that they got you flip head over heels when your teammate kills them seconds later...and laugh. If you're playing outlier protection, you'll fall in where you belong. If you're playing open skill, you'll probably get flattened because there is always someone better than you.

Agree they should definitely be harder to crit with… so much damage per shot should come with a trade off
-
Idk why we buffed 120’s nobody missed that ish

Edited by Kiro - 13: 11/21/2024 7:55:40 AMFrom the perspective of ttk they are one of THE most balanced weapons in the game. Peak shooting and *moderate reliability in the air is what allows them to be competitive. I understand they can be frustrating to play against because the floor is very low and the ceiling is exceptionally high. But its the pilot that makes a hand cannon strong, not the weapon in its self.

sweaty streamers got their way, you'll have to deal with it for another 5 or 6 months lol

Welcome to the bungie forum , where handcannon crutch mains anxiously scour new posts in fear of an upcoming nerf to the supreme weapon type . Bullying you by looking up stats and posting ttk numbers while completely ignoring they are the best in air gun, the best peek shoot gun, the best slide gun, the best swap gun. Welcome to the world of anxious, large ego’d crybabies who think that their way of abusing the best gun type in the most heavy aim assisted fps on the market that was designed for balding halo fans takes any skill at all. Welcome to wimp city.

Edited by escape1226: 11/21/2024 1:49:37 PMHand cannons are fine as long as players don’t go full scumbag with accessibility devices. But it’s destiny and thats the norm now

Nothing needs a nerf Nerf is a bad word, that kills games
-
They could adjust their aim assist a little bit. Same with many other weapons.
-
Nope you are mistaken. They are fine the way they are.

Only against you.

HC literally have slower ttk than most, if you lose to a HC, it's either you got shot first or aren't hitting yours
-
Worst body shot ttk in the game. Tell me. If I'm so inclined to become a nerf herder like you, how is this done? Is there uni and post graduate work?

This biggest problem with Hand Cannons in PvP, is their damage falloff. Hand Cannon's don't have enough falloff to compensate their high-damage, so once they start competing out of their appropriate range, they can still end up consistently 3-tapping. Bungie literally fixed this issue at the end of D1's lifespan by making the falloff scaling on Hand Cannons about 2-3x as severe as the rest of most guns, without nerfing their high-damage numbers and ease of use, then just brought the problem back with Destiny 2. Once you'd hit the falloff range in D1, you'd start dropping about 5-6 damage PER meter to the minimum threshold. Bungie is just too afraid to let their favorite weapon type go; there's a reason there's more exotic hand-cannons in the game than any other weapon type.
